Early start for the S & A Under 8's Blacks this morning but great to see the team on time and ready to go.
Before the game we observed a minutes silence for Remembrance Sunday.
It was great to see both teams, managers, officials and spectators all respect this period of remembrance.
S & A played against very good opposition in Southport FC Community and they knew it was going to be a tough game. However, the S & A blacks never stopped chasing the ball and applying pressure. We worked on clearing the ball from the back in training and there were elements of this seen during the game today. Tyler picked up an assist with some great link up play between Ben, Tyler and Edward, who slotted home a great goal early in the second half. Lucas did the team proud in between the posts, producing some outstanding saves and excellent distribution of goal kicks finding our players in some great attacking positions.
Today’s S & A 'Player of the match' went to Tyler, for displays of excellent dribbling, getting forward on every chance possible and making some great passes into the opponents half.
Tough game in tough conditions but we are continuously proud of the lads, the quick progress they are making and the effort they put in.
