Saturday Senior Reserves

Saturday Senior Reserves found it ‘tough’ going away to Tarleton 1st team tonight. In what was a game of two halves,S & A dominated the first half going in 3-0 up at the break. They enjoyed plenty of the ball and their link up play resulted in Tom Wright 2 and an Antonio Berisha penalty giving them a comfortable half time lead. What marred the first half was injuries to key players in what was a rough and tumble affair. Peter Moretti took a blow to the top half of his cheek with resulted in stitches and Jamie McCormack had to also come off before half time after being badly fouled. The home side had numerous bookings for their troubles.

The second half took a complete transformation as Tarleton ground out chance after chance with them ultimately scoring on 57,64 and 69 mins to go level with the visitors. S & A had to make more enforced substitutions but it was to no avail as the home team scored two more goals on 75 and 80 mins to complete the victory. It was a tough pill to swallow for S & A but they will hopefully bounce back in the forthcoming games.
