Another strong performance for the Under 13's today at home to Formby JSC Whites.
Jack Butler opened up the scoring after just 2 minutes with a well placed finish.
A scrappy spell of play against the wind saw S&A give the ball away for the opposition to equalise.
Shortly after Jack Butler hit a shot from outside the box, which the goalkeeper struggled to deal with... Jenson Porter pounced on this and tapped it in for 2-1.
The half time team talk saw S&A come out the blocks and kept good possession of the ball. Louie Sheppard slotted the 3rd away to open the gap between the 2 sides. The Formby side clawed one back after a mishap from the S&A keeper for 3-2.
S&A kept pushing and Flynn Russell put a well flighted ball into the box which the Formby defence struggled to deal with... before S&A had a chance to put it away, it was ricochet in for an own goal to finish 4-2.
Good performance all round. Player of the match went to Henry Warbrick who put a solid defensive display in for the home team proudly wearing his Play Safe captains armband.
