Goalkeeper Ewan Locker was named as the player of the match for the under 11s reds in their cup semi final loss to Southport trinity Blues. He was outstanding in the home goal with a string of great saves and what was outstanding was his bravery in preventing a number of attacks on his goal. It was a tough game before we even started as three of the players had to leave at ht for a prior engagement. Henry Warbrick played the whole game under stress after turning up with a sore thigh but wanted to play. S&A also lost new signing Max Brown before the game through illness. Influential midfielder Zak Keelan also suffered injury but with no subs he gamely carried on. Down to just 8 players for the second half the team did all they could against a very strong trinity team. Well played all the players for their commitment.
