Brave Lindsay plays through despite injury
An entertaining end to end game this morning for our under 11's reds.
On a very wet and windy day played on a very heavy pitch the 9 men of S & A were in for a solid hour of football in which both teams had no subs to draw on. Both teams played some excellent football with plenty of opportunities to score. S & A's sole goal goal came from good work from Connor Edgar on the wing who fed in Sammy Devers who struck the perfect shot. The rebound off the goalkeeper saw Harry Osbaldaston pinch another goal to add to his growing S & A tally. Captain Sam Howell had an excellent long range effort superbly saved by the home goalkeeper who tipped the ball brilliantly over the bar. Player of the match for S & A was awarded to Samuel Lindsay who played bravely played on despite playing with an injury for the last 15 mins. Well done to all the players.
