Under 11's reds played against league newcomers Formby JSC on Sunday. In what was a competitive first meeting S & A started well creating
a few good chances but the Formby goalkeeper pulled off a string of excellent saves. Sammy Devers scored a double with Harry Osbaldaston helping himself to a hat-trick. Sam Howell scored with one of his special long range efforts with Finley Pomfret also scoring with two trademark close range finishes. Zak Keelan scored his first goal of the season with a neat finish. Caitlin Lee was the most improved player run closely by Connor Edgar who both played well on the wing. Henry Warbrick was as solid as ever in defence. Visiting goalkeeper Ewan Locker chipped in with his usual 'safe hands' performance but the player of the match went to both defenders Taylor Wareing and Samuel Lindsay for a great defensive display. Well done to all the players.
