Another tough game for the u13s today against the league leaders Shevington Park. The boys got off to a great start scoring almost from the first whistle and held the lead for most of the half despite quite a bit of pressure from the away team. Unfortunately that pressure told just before half time and we went into the break 1-1. With a couple of players missing this week tiredness took its toll and a couple of mistakes lead to us conceding two more in the second half. 1-3 Shevington was the final score. Always disappointing to lose but once again the boys have showed how close we are to bridging the gap between ourselves and the top two or three teams in this league. The players voted Caiden Thistleton their 'Player of the match' for his work rate in midfield and the managers vote went to Nur Aboobacar who in just his third game as our keeper was outstanding and made some crucial saves. Caiden and Nur pictured. Well done to all the players.
