Under 13's

U13s played Southport Golds at home. It really was one of the best team performances we've put together and we ended up 9-0 winners. The boys used the size of our pitch to our advantage and spread the play brilliantly. Everything about our performance today was spot on, the communication, nice periods of confident possession and interplay, movement off the ball and some lovely crosses put in. From the very first whistle we were at them and the ball rarely left the opposition half, when it did it was mostly us playing back and switching the ball to the other side to attack again.

A real team effort today saw the goals spread around.

The players voted Oliver Scott their MOTM for a really great performance out on the right side of the pitch. He was a constant presence out wide delivering some fine crosses and getting himself a really well taken long range goal near the end of the game. The managers gave theirs to Joseph Graham who set the tempo of the game early from the left wing and assisted 3 first half goals and scored 2 himself and to Matty Hand who without his usual centre back partner was really composed all game and spread the ball really well his passing range today was really impressive and any time he was called upon he dealt calmly with everything earning another clean sheet for the defence. It was tough to pick individuals today though as it was a proper all round team performance!
