Handley-Walsh & Charnock star in home win

S&A U14's Reds played S&A U14's blues this weekend at the Ainsdale club on a beautiful sunny morning with perfect conditions for such a momentous game.
With a squad of 15 we started the game with a 4-4-2 formation with a few tweaks to the midfield from previous week's.
Matthew Cosgrove shifted centrally from his left midfield role of late at the expense of Harrison Coates who in all honesty hasn't put a foot wrong all season but we wanted more energy from previous lack lustre performances of late from the team as a whole.
Both Harvey Thompson from injury and Lewis Handley - Walsh returned to the starting 11 on both wings for their energy and quality.
Starting the game relatively well the blues contained us until the 25th minute when Charlie Love assisted Lucas Charnock to fire the ball home hard and low from distance.
3 mins later Lucas Charnock assisted Luca Bailey who added to his excellent numbers this season with a low shot from inside the box.
HT 2-0
Second half we asked for more quality in our work and the boys stepped it up.
With a tweak in formation as a consequence of a hamstring pull to the superb Luca Bailey we reverted to a 4-4-1-1 with Lucas Charnock in behind Lewis Handley - Walsh.
These boys combined unbelievably well with a quick fire second half hat-trick assisted by Lucas Charnock, Matthew Cosgrove and Harrison Coates respectively.
6 minutes for Lewis to achieve his first Hat trick for the club. Unbelievable stuff and the last a fantastic strike from distance.
Shortly after Lucas Charnock got his second assisted by Ashton Collins.
7 minutes later Lucas Charnock got his hat -trick from the assist king Charlie Love.
4 minutes later the relentless Charlie Love got his reward from a Lewis Handley - Walsh assist with a goal that his overall display deserved.
3 mins from time, the technically gifted Harry Markland assisted Adam Keating to add to his prolific goal tally with a fine well placed strike from distance into the side netting.
To conclude, a game played in a fantastic manner from both teams, trying to play the right way from start to finish.
Another clean sheet which the ever present back 5 will take great pleasure from.
Positive performances from Harry Markland and Dan Nuttall, on both wings.
Charlie love deserves recognition for his unbelievable work rate and movement. Very intelligent footballer.
The plaudits though go to both Lucas Charnock and Lewis Handley - Walsh both netting hat - tricks with three assist between them also.
Both these boys have unbelievable quality .
Vice Captain Lucas Charnock oozes class and his penetrating through balls that split defences perfectly and the weight of passes are ridiculous, the striker never needs to break stride .
His finishing is second to none. A top top player who has it all.
Lewis Handley - Walsh - one of the most coachable boys I have ever coached , this boy is strong , quick, and has unbelievable feet. A class act.
Such a humble boy that has only played football competitively for 12 months.
Well done to both teams.
