Under 12's

U12s suffered their 2nd league defeat of the season against the team who inflicted their first. In a top of the table clash fleetwood hesketh ran out 2-1 winners to move 4 points clear at the top of the table. S&A took a deserved lead with a well worked team goal when Aaron was released down the right hand side who crossed for Noah to control and finish neatly into the bottom corner.
Fleetwood Hesketh then hit the post from the penalty spot with what looked like a harsh penalty decision. Fleetwood then equalised with a well taken goal from their centre forward who beat 3 S&A players on the edge of the box. Adam was in fine form in goal for S&A making some great saves to keep the game level. 1-1 HT Into the second half and both teams went in search of what would surely be the winner. Both teams had chances but unfortunately for S&A it was Fleetwood who took theirs with a long ball over the top again finished of by their centre forward.
S&A had a great chance right at the death to equalise but failed to make the most of it. S&A can be proud of their overall performance but perhaps just lacked a little bit of composure in the important moments. We get a chance to make up for todays defeat when we play Fleetwood again next week in the semi final of the Joseph Jackson cup.
MOM was given to S&A goalie Adam for keeping the game even at important moments.
