Under 12's

U12s played Holker Old Boys in the county cup this morning. In a tight and physically contested game the visitors came out 2-0 winners. S&A gave a great account of themselves and matched Holker all over the pitch and had a good few missed opportunities and count themselves very unlucky that close range headers from Joseph and efforts from Stanley and Aaron where either saved well or not quite on target. Holker took the lead in unfortunate circumstances and scored there second late on, on the counter when S&A where pushing hard for an equaliser. The lads can hold their heads up high as their effort and commitment was second to none especially with a full squad which meant plenty of rotation during the match. All the lads played really well and where obviously disappointed at the end. The lads have the perfect chance to bounce back next week with a top of the table clash against Fleetwood Hesketh.
Player of the Match was given to the whole team today for great team spirit and togetherness.
