Under 12's

U12s played against Myerscough JFDC Blacks in the 3rd round of the county cup.
Starting in a 3-3-2 formation S&A started strongly and could and maybe should have been 3-0 up inside the first 10 minutes but some poor finishing kept the score level.
The deadlock was finally broken when Noah calmly found the bottom corner with a nice left foot finish. A slight change in formation to 2-4-2 and the introduction of Jamie and Leo on the wings really helped S&A take control of the game scoring 2 more goals before half time through Aaron and Jamie.
Into the second half and S&A continued to play some nice football confidently playing the ball out from the back and creating many chances. Early in the second half Myerscough scored but with the linesman flag raised the ref called it back for offside, the correct decision as the striker was a good 5 yards off.
S&A players where impressing all over the pitch with Jamie, Leo, Alex and Joseph all battling hard in midfield with George and Seb keeping things tight behind them. The score line increased when Aaron scored from close range after good work on the right hand side from Jamie shortly followed by Noah’s second from the edge of the box. Aaron them completed his hat-trick with a well taken half volley. Billy, Ollie and Morgan all played important parts in a really good team performance. But MOM went to George for an energetic, physical and determined display at the back.
Full time 6-0 and into the last 32 of the county cup.
