Late winner taken for 'Granted' for S & A
Sunday 1st team made it two wins out of two in the Southport Premier as they had to come from behind to beat Royal Altcar 2-1.
Altcar came into the game winning their opening three games with impressive wins over Lydiate and Halsall.
S&A dominated the opening period but couldn't create any clear chances. It was Altcar who took the lead when a slip from Nixon led to their player being brought down on the edge of the area but a penalty was given.

The second half was similar in terms of possession but Altcar very nearly made it two but for a deflection which hit the bar. S&A continued to push and were rewarded after Lamont played in Grant down the line who crossed the ball for Langley to finish. Langley then should have put S&A ahead but shot wide. The winner finally came with 8 minutes remaining when Taylor fed the ball through to Langley who squared the ball back for Grant to slot home.
