Sunday Senior 1st team

Sunday 1st team were in Charity Cup action this morning taking on Muni Flex on a very poor playing surface at Smithy Green. With a number of players unavailable it still saw a healthy squad. S&A dominated most of the game but keeper Josh Walker still made a couple of brilliant saves. The first half saw S&A score twice via Paul Grant and Rich Wincer. After the break S&A took the game totally away from Muni Flex. Rich Wincer made it 3 running clear after being played in by Grant to fire the ball into the roof of the net. Luke Smith added a fourth scoring from a tight angle. Rob Langley then netted a fifth after being put through by Smith. Paul Grant then got his second with Langley squaring the ball for him to score. Jake Pilkington got his goal for his pure industry while Luke Smith capped off a fine second half scoring the 8th of the day. Next week will see the side return to Lancashire Cup action when they travel to Blackburn to play Mellors Old Boys.
