S&A reserves hosted Crosby FC blues at The Ainsdale Club .
S&A started on the front foot passing the ball around on a pitch in good condition for this time of the season .
Captain Ben Coates and Conor Forshaw showed there class in midfield passing the ball around with easy leaving Crosby at times chasing shadows but to Cosby’s credit they limited S&A to half chances at best .
The best of which came from Liam Laing (debut) making a good forward run to latch on to a ball from Forshaw .
It wasn’t till the 40th min that S&A took the lead with an outstanding goal . Started on the S&A left by Jaydon Hunt playing the ball into Forshaw who beat his marker and set up Taylor Hampson with a defence splitting pass and he finished with ease . Ht : 1-0
The second half continued with S&A dominating possession and putting increasing amounts of pressure on the Crosby back line .
Manager Keane made changes to freshen things up but to Crosbys credit they kept S&A out with some well organised defending and some smart saves from the keeper .
A well deserved win for S&A and they move onto next week and another home fixture against The Bold
